Former MTV star Holly Montag is ringing in the New Year with a big announcement: she's expecting her first child! Her younger sister Heidi Montag confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "Couldn't be happier for my sister @hollymontag Christmas miracle!! Love you!!"
This will be the first child for the former star of "The Hills" and her husband Richie Wilson. The couple married in September after a year-long engagement.
"I married the love of my life," Holly told People Magazine at the time.
It's not clear how far along Holly is, but she flaunted her growing baby bump in front of a Christmas tree shortly before the holiday, E! Online reported. Heidi doesn't have children, but she's made it no secret that she's ready to become a mom.
She appeared on "Marriage Boot Camp" with hubby Spencer Pratt so they could work out their differences about starting a family. Heidi wants to have kids as soon as possible, while Pratt is unsure he wants to be a dad.
In the December issue of InTouch magazine, Heidi confessed that she hopes to be pregnant by the end of the year, but admitted that her husband's hesitation scared her.
"He told me, 'I don't want to have kids,' and I started crying," she said. "When he saw how important it was to me, it changed his heart."
The former reality star said that she hopes to have two kids: either both boys or a boy and a girl.
"Boys are easier!" she said.
Despite Pratt's hesitation to have children, Heidi told the magazine that she thinks he'll be a great father.
"Spencer will totally be the softy," she said. "I'm definitely going to be the disciplinarian."
