A surprising breakup, a sweet baby announcement and an exciting birth. The past several weeks for Bachelor Nation has been filled with ups and downs, but we have some good news for you. Former "Bachelorette" Desiree Hartsock is married!
The brunette beauty wed fiancé Chris Siegfried on Sunday (Jan. 18) in a quiet ceremony in Palos Verdes, Calif.
"It was a beautiful occasion," a source told People.
"The day was so filled with love; lots of people shed tears during the ceremony," a show insider added.
Hartsock opened up about wedding plans to US Weekly last month saying that she was super excited to finally walk down the aisle.
"Once Chris and I got engaged we started talking about the wedding right away - probably before the finale even aired," she said. "We talked about what we would want and pieced together both of our ideas."
"I'm most excited to walk down the aisle and see Chris," Hartsock continued. "And then of course to get down on the dance floor with him!"
Hartsock and Siegfried met on the ABC dating show but the bridal boutique stylist initially thought Brooks Forester was the man she would marry. Unfortunately, he didn't have the same feelings for Hartsock and ended up breaking her heart.
Shortly afterwards, she realized that her true love was Siegfried and confessed her love for him on the finale of "The Bachelorette." The two got engaged in May 2013, shortly before the August finale aired.
"Chris knows how to surprise me with flowers or a simple note to make me feel special and thought of. That always makes me happy!" she told TheNest.com last year.
Siegfried added that the reality star is "constantly reminding me how much she loves me."
"I love that she makes sure she gets a kiss before I leave for work every day," he said.
Last week, "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman split from her fiancé Josh Murray less than a year after getting engaged. Former "Bachelor" contestant Renee Oteri announced she gave birth to a baby boy with new husband Bracy Maynard and Emily Maynard revealed she was pregnant with her second child.
