A lot of people had their doubts about Erica Mena and Bow Wow's relationship, but the pair is still going strong. Bow Wow (real name Shad Moss) proposed to the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star in September after six months of dating and the couple is expected to tie the knot in a few short months.
Mena sat down with Hip Hollywood and revealed that she and Bow Wow are getting married in April and she's been busy finalizing wedding details.
"It's around the corner," she said. "So it's a lot of work to do actually. It's coming together."
Mena, who's exes include "LHHNY" cast members Rich Dollaz and Cyn Santana, isn't exactly known to be the quiet type, but she told Hip Hollywood that she wants a very intimate wedding ceremony.
"I want it to be strictly friends and family. I think people are going to be surprised to learn it's definitely an intimate affair," she said. "More importantly, I want us to enjoy the moment so much. I think with every single detail and everything we decide, it's definitely going to be an "us" thing - this is a big step in our lives."
Mena admitted that her reception will probably be "quite interesting" - and hopefully drama-free - because of all the celebrity friends Bow Wow has. She also said that Dollaz did not get an invite to the wedding and it won't be televised for VH1.
"He has to pay child support first," she said. "I don't want no cops showing up, trying to arrest anybody cause they ain't takin' care of their kids at my wedding. Definitely not."
According to US Weekly, Mena and Bow Wow met on the set of "106 & Park" when the reality star appeared as guest. During the episode, she and the rapper shared a kiss on the famous couch and started dating shortly afterwards.
