"The Mentalist" is going to wrap up its seventh season run on Wednesday (Feb. 18) with a two-hour series finale and TV Line has some last minute spoilers. In an older post we mentioned a crazy serial killer named Lazarus that's going to be terrorizing everyone on the finale.
According to TV Line, Jane (Simon Baker) and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) "must outwit the psychic-obsessed serial killer" before they can even think about future plans together.
"It's not someone you've met before," creator Bruno Heller told TV Line. "And as Robin strongly pointed out to me, I don't think we've done any other serial killers over the years as strongly as this one, except for Red John, so it's very much a 'full circle' kind of event."
Lazarus' story will take place over the last two episodes, "Brown Shag Carpet" (episode 12) and "White Orchids (episode 13). According to "The Mentalist" wikia page, the following is official descriptions of the two-part finale.
Episode 12: "Jane agrees to once again pretend to be a renowned psychic and be used as bait in an attempt to lure out a serial killer and give the FBI a chance to apprehend him."
Special guest stars include Aubrey Deeker as Lazarus and Joshua Bitton as Detective Rick Tork.
Episode 13: "Lisbon accepts Jane's surprise marriage proposal, but a killer's quest for revenge may cost them the happy ending they've worked so hard to achieve."
Special guests for the episode include Amanda Righetti as Grace Van Pelt, Owain Yeoman as Wayne Rigsby, Rob Belushi as James Lisbon, Derek Phillips as Stan Lisbon, Milissa Sears as Karen Lisbon, Deeker, Joshua Bitton and Joyce Guy as Judge Emily Hamilton.
