Ariana Grande recently took to Twitter to announce the name and release date of her forthcoming single, "Baby I," which the "Sam & Cat" star Instagrammed the cover art of, and recently a snippet of the new track has leaked online!
"Baby I" will be a follow-up to Grande's chart-topping hit "The Way" featuring Mac Miller, a single to proceed her forthcoming debut album, "Daydreamin'", according to Billboard.
"My new single 'Baby I' from my debut album comes out in 7 days, July 22nd," Grande recently tweeted. "Daydreamin'" isn't expected to be hit stores until August 2013, though Grande has already released a number of songs, including demos, covers of Top 40 hits like Bruno Mars's "Grenade" and collaborations with the cast of "Victorious" for the recently canceled Nickeolodeon's show soundtrack.
Now Grande is starring in her very own "Victorious" spin-off alongside co-star Jennette McCurdy, and the first season recently received a very big order of 40 episodes.
"It's a very tall order but it also feels great. The show has been so well-received and competition is greater than ever these days. Making a hit show is even more challenging today than, say, 10 years ago," the show's creator, Dan Schneider, told JustJaredJr. "It's a little daunting to do 40 episodes in your first season, but what makes it fun is the success, because we're all sharing in that."
Grande worked with a number of artists for her first album, including LMFAO, 3OH!3, Kool Kajak and Pebe Sebert and Joe Jonas. She's been compared to legendary artists like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston due to her 4 octave range and whistle range.
