‘Snooki and JWoww’ Season 3: Reality Stars Returning to Jersey Shore Despite Hesitation From Residents

It's official, Snooki and JWoww are returning for season three of their spin-off show "Snooki & JWoww" but New Jersey residents had mixed reactions to the news.

It had been confirmed by MTV a couple months ago that the show was picked up again with both girls promising more good times are in store. Filming is reportedly scheduled to begin this summer and residents are not sure if they want Snooki and her best friend, JWoww, in their neighborhood, USA Today reports.

According to the newspaper, production will be based at two homes, one in the Pelican Island section of Berkeley and the other in Seaside Heights. MTV would not confirm whether the filming for the new season would be taking place at those two locations but Seaside Heights Business Administrator John A. Camera did confirm that the show's producers already paid the $25 film permit fee. He also said it looked like a "pretty light filming schedule at that address . it seems like it is a very small production and we are not looking at much need for security at this point."

From Camera's understanding he believes it looks like one couple would be at the Seaside location while another remained at the Pelican Island home.

The Pelican Island area was severely damaged from Superstorm Sandy and many of the residents are either having their homes rebuilt, torn down or elevated. The home that will be used for the new season belongs to Mike Loundy of Point Pleasant Beach, who also rented out the Seaside Heights house used a setting for "Jersey Shore."

The house in Seaside that will used for season three is owned by the borough's public affairs officer, Michael Gracien, USA Today reports.

Some of the Pelican Island residents are not too happy to have the reality stars living in their neighborhood for the summer.

"It is crazy to do it here... Many of us have just moved back to the area or are in the process of trying to get our homes rebuilt," one resident Lori Tyska told USA Today.

"I'm fine with it. We may have to check out what is going on down there," resident Laura Biondo said.

Snooki is definitely excited about the new season writing on Celebuzz that she couldn't wait for her fans to watch baby Lorenzo grow up.

"I am so excited because MTV just announced 'Snooki & JWoww' 3! I'm so excited. Thank you guys," she wrote. "And it's really just because of you guys, the fans, because you guys tune in and you helped us to get a season 3, so thank you. We didn't start shooting yet, but I'm excited for you guys to see Lorenzo now, he's 8 months. You're going to get to see him grow up with me. You're going to get to see me and Jenni being best friends, doing silly things."
