Royal Baby Due Date Update: U.K. Residents Weigh In On Child's Future

As rumors swirl that Kate Middleton is a few days past her due date, British residents are looking way past the much-anticipated birth of the royal baby by weighing in on the tot's future.

A new report in London's Evening Standard asked the royal subjects to give their thoughts on topics from where the future prince or princess of Cambridge should attend school, to what sort of job the new addition to the royal family should hold.

According to the survey, which was performed by Ipsos MORI, a U.K. polling firm, only three out of every 10 people think the child should attend a state school, with most siding with the idea of a private education for the tiny royal.

As far as the heir's career path, 65 percent of the public believe that the child should grow up to work among his or her subjects at a normal daily job before taking on duties as a full-time royal.

Working a typical 9-to-5 job would be a royal rarity, as most of Britain's ruling family has not maintained such a position.

According to E! News, Father Prince William works as a search-and-rescue pilot, while Middleton briefly worked as an accessory buyer at a clothing company, but has since taken on the role of full time royal and soon-to-be mom.

Prince Charles and younger brother Prince Andrew found work in the military. Charles served in the Royal Air Force and Navy, and Andrew worked as a helicopter copilot during the 1980s. Sister, Princess Anne, on the other hand, dedicated her time to Great Britain's Olympic equestrian team. She competed in 1976.

But despite the public's high hopes for the royal baby, another notable survey statistic stated that seven out of every ten people believed that it was "impossible" for children of Royalty to have a normal upbringing.
