EA Spots has officially released the cover for “NBA Live 14” featuring Cleveland Cavalier young star point guard Kyrie Irving.
You can check out the official Cover Athlete Announcement below
The video features actual game footage with Irving dribbling the ball (probably to display the new BounceTek feature) and then saying, “I’m Kyrie Irving, and I’m in the game.”
Irving is coming off a breakout sophomore year with the Cavs. He averaged 22.5 points, 5.9 assists and shone during the 2013 NBA All-Star weekend. Irving appeared in his first All-Star game and won the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout.
“I’m so proud to be the face of this franchise as it makes its much-anticipated return,” Irving said. “I’ve been on the court with the development team and I’ve seen first-hand some of the amazing things EA SPORTS is doing with NBA LIVE 14. The fans are going to love it.”
“We couldn’t imagine a better cover athlete for our game than the dynamic, explosive Kyrie Irving,” said Daryl Holt, Vice President and General Manager of Basketball for EA SPORTS. “Kyrie is one of the best ball handlers in the league, and with our next-generation technology we can arm players with the ability to replicate his impressive on-court feats, as well as the amazing signature styles and abilities of other pros in NBA LIVE 14.”
The “NBA Live 14” team is hoping to get on the same projected track as Irving. The Cavs point guard is expected to grow as a point guard and become one of the best in the league. NBA Live is hoping to start fresh and become the best basketball game in the business.
