Tamar Braxton spoke to "Good Morning America" in a candid interview about baby Logan and adjusting to motherhood.
The youngest Braxton sister said she struggled to bond with her newborn son and admitted that she couldn't breastfeed him, the Daily Mail reports.
Braxton, who gave birth to Logan in June, said the mother-son bond between the two was not apparent at first and "she didn't immediately fall in love with her son."
"I loved him, you know," she said on "Good Morning America." "But I wasn't like 'Oh, gosh, yes my baby, ooh,' you know, it wasn't like that. It was more like what do I do now, you know?"
The "Love and War" singer explained that when she was first handed her son at the hospital, she was in shock and it took her a couple days before she could even register the fact that she was a mother.
Her husband Vincent Herbert, on the other hand, immediately bonded with the baby. When she couldn't produce breast milk and breastfeed her baby, the reality star said her detachment was very apparent.
"I guess in a sense I did feel unattached because you know, I really wanted to connect with him because I wanted to breastfeed," she said. "And when he didn't latch on and when I couldn't produce milk I just felt like, 'Is this the wrong child?' You know what I mean? 'Am I the wrong mother?'"
"I was questioning my motherhood... Like, is this a mistake that God made? Or like, is this something that I need to hand over to my husband [Vincent] because he and the baby connected instantly," she continued. "And I wanted that. And I guess I was a little jealous."
Things for the new mom and baby Logan are a lot better. She revealed that she is now breastfeeding which has made her feel like "it was meant to be."
"The Braxton Family Values" star announced her delivery last month on her Twitter account. She tweeted a picture of three giant blue teddy bears with the words "Friends HE'S finally here!!"
