Though we've only seen a bit of baby Prince George since his birthday on July 22 and first official appearance the following day, E! News has some good news: the Duchess of Cambridge will soon be releasing an official portrait of her son, and a source confirms that the Duke and Duchess are considering releasing private photos!
Kate Middleton and Prince William have maintained a fairly laid-back attitude towards royal life, eschewing tradition in a number of instances to ensure that their highly publicized lives remain as private as possible while fulfilling their royal duties, including opting to stay at the Middleton manor in Bucklebury, Berkshire for their first few weeks with the new prince instead of immediately returning to Kensington Palace, as per tradition.
It also means that the Duke and Duchess may release private photos of their son instead of the traditional professionally shot baby portrait, as Middleton "has a great eye for pictures and wants the first official ones of George to be natural and in a relaxed environment," a source recently revealed to the Mirror.
Casual photos will also ensure that Prince George's baby days are not disturbed and Middleton's parents will not need to accodomate professional photographers in their home. Personalized photos would be featured on Clarence House's official Twitter and the Duke and Duchess's official website, as a source said to People magazine, "the whole point of these photos is that as many people have access to them who need to and we will find the easiest way of doing that."
As for the rumored "Three Kings" photo of Prince William, Prince Charles and Prince George standing together, a source explained to E! News that there is "no photo of the Prince of Wales with the Duke and Prince George from the hospital, as has been reported elsewhere before." There will be plenty of time for one in the future, however, as Prince George is only a few weeks old!
Though the possibility remains that the Duke and Duchess will opt for a professional portrait of their son, we can definitely see them releasing some private photos instead, as they're a very modern royal couple with a "thoroughly modern baby."
The first official pictures of Prince George will be reportedly be released sometime this week.
