'Anchorman 2' Release Date: Ron Burgundy's New Anti-Piracy PSA Is Very Instructional (WATCH)

Movie piracy is a big deal in this country as so much money gets poured year after year into cinema. With piracy, there can often be a significantly diminished profit from the movie in question and frankly, that's just too much for one news man to handle. Will Ferrell has reprised his role as Ron Burgundy once again, this time to make an anti-piracy PSA, a fact which he only discovers at the end of the spot.

The video, which can be seen from below sees the famed fake newsman telling us how to "make the right choice for our evening entertainment." He then goes on to discuss a series of ways to avoid missing out on an experience worth paying for. It's not until he utters the last line of the cue cards that he realizes what he's even talking about.

"You don't want to be left feeling sad, lonely and ripped off on a Saturday night," he says. "So the next time you think about doing it on the cheap, just don't do it at home. Go to the cinema."

That's when the music stops with a record scratch and Burgundy goes a bit off script.

"By the beard of Zeus! What is this? Is this film piracy? For that shimmering pretender to televison's crown?" he shouts. "I thought I was giving these young bucks the benefit of my wisdom to get a solid serving of gentleman's relish at a reasonable rate!"

So the ad's heart is in the right place even if its star isn't. The ad also has a few brief glimpses at some of the romance and outrageousness coming to viewers in the near future when the film debuts on Dec 20. "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" will see Burgundy and his fellow news crew travel to New York City to begin working for a national cable news network called GNN and will follow them as they try to cope with the changing news cycle of the 1970s.
