Regulators in the state of Washington have suspended operations on a tour company in Seattle on Monday.

The members of the Utilities and Transportation Commission gathered together in an urgent meeting to remove all the military "duck boats" owned by Ride the Ducks by Seattle from the streets for the time being, according to the Associated Press.

Five people died and dozens of others were left injured when one of the duck boats collided with an oncoming charter bus at the Aurora Bridge in Seattle on Thursday. Four of the victims were international students while the fifth person, a 20-year-old woman, died on Sunday.

The accident took place before noon, at around 11:13 a.m. Ninety rescuers on the scene removed passengers from the crash site. Fifteen people were transported to hospitals and were in critical condition, as HNGN previously reported.

The suspension also came after federal investigators revealed that the amphibious vehicles did not have an axle repair, which was suggested for these boats two years ago.

Authorities are still looking into whether or not the lack of axle repair was the reason of the wreckage, though the front left axle of the boat was cropped off. It is also unclear if the axle broke down prior to the collision or for the duration of it.

Investigation is still ongoing, according to the New York Daily News.
