Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is putting his thoughts of a return to La Liga on hold for now and dedicating his time to the Red Devils, according to the Daily Mail. While many of Mata's Spanish brothers are returning to Spain to play for Real Madrid, Barcelona or other clubs, Mata voiced his feelings towards United in a recent interview.

"Right now I don't even think about it. I miss family, my friends, but for I'm very happy in Manchester. I have the feeling that I have just arrived here and I still have many things to do," Mata said. "Playing in England is a very positive experience. I advise every player to spend at least one year in the Premier League, because, in terms of fans, the league, the structure, what football represents, it's fantastic.

"There is a special respect towards the player. It is incredible. You are playing a top-level team and even when you lose the fans still support you, looking forward to the next match. That gives you more eager to share the successes with them. It is different from Spain. Here they understand football in a very special way."

That sounds like a true player who wants to remain with his club and not follow the money trail back to Spain. Mata could very well make millions of dollars more than what he currently makes with United in Spain, but his comments about the fans and general atmosphere around the club speak volumes to how important his time with the Red Devils actually is to him.

Since the start of the Premier League season, Mata has found the back of the net three times and added three assists, according to Bleacher Report. While Mata is not taking over England like Sergio Aguero of Manchester City, the consistent contributions both on and off the ball is what makes Mata such a dangerous and valuable threat for United.

The Red Devils sit in third in the Premier League standings behind Arsenal and Manchester City. After a shocking 3-0 loss to Arsenal last week, United must find a spark from their midfield and look to rebound this week against Everton. On paper, the game should be won by United, but Everton has found a good run of form recently and could manage an upset against Louis Van Gaal's men. As anyone who follows soccer closely knows, anything can happen on any given day.
