John Griswell parked his car in a garage in Texas last month and when he got in the car the next time, he spotted a paw dangling from the rear wheel on the passenger side, according to AOL. Turns out, a feral kitty had decided that the motor compartment of his Tesla Model S was a purr-fect sleeping canopy
"I think it climbed in sometime on Friday while I was out and about," Griswell told Green Car Reports. "Amazingly, it was safe in the cavity around the motor, even while I was driving.
"On Saturday, I noticed something hanging from the bottom of my car while it was parked on an incline. So I took a look and saw a paw hanging from the passenger rear-wheel well.
"Thinking that I'd hit a dead cat and its paw was stuck up in there, I backed up the car to get a better look, and it was gone.
"I figured it was a cat and it had run out when I moved."
Later that night, Griswell heard the meows of the kitten.
The spot must've been so comfortable that even a fresh can of tuna couldn't lure the kitten out. Well, the kitten came out, ate the tuna and then climbed back into the Tesla, according to Griswell. "So, on Monday morning I took the car to the Tesla Service Center for help."
Thank goodness for the mechanics at Griswell's local Tesla service center - and for Griswell, who was willing to have his car dismantled to save the kitty!
The little wiggle-bottom was named Tessie in honor of her first car ride and has since been potty-trained and adopted.
