Chris Lane Shooting: Teen Suspect Reportedly Posts Racist Tweets; People Urge Politicians For Better Gun Control

Chris Lane, 23-year-old Australian college baseball player, was allegedly murdered by three "bored" teens, and people are speculating that the crime was an act of racisim.

According to CNN, there were images of one suspect online "posing with guns and wads of cash." A few days before the shooting, suspect, 15-year-old James Edwards Jr., tweeted, "With my n****s when it's time to start taken life's" -- a line from the Chief Keef rap song, "I Don't Like."

In April, the teen also posted a tweet saying he hates 90 percent of white people, according to CNN. The teens reportedly killed Lane because they were "bored" and "wanted to watch someone die."

Lane's story has sparked outrage in the United States all the way to the baseball player's native country, Australia. Former Deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer urged the Australian people not travel to U.S. because the country needs "tighter gun control."

"Tourists thinking of going to the USA should think twice,'' Fischer told the New York Post. "This is the bitter harvest and legacy of the policies of the NRA that even blocked background checks for people buying guns at gunshows...People should take this into account before going to the United States...I am deeply angry about this because of the callous attitude of the three teenagers (but) it's a sign of the proliferation of guns on the ground in the USA...There is a gun for almost every American.''

Again, Lane's story has caught media attention worldwide, and it wasn't soon before long Taiwanese animators from Next Media Animation created a video on "their take of the tragic event."

The animators are known for creating viral videos of current events, including animating "Two And A Half Men" actor Charlie Sheen's scandals more than two years ago. The video ended with the following message:

"Maybe it's time politicians and lobbyists actually get serious about gun control, or just let everyone keep their guns. Let's just outlaw bullets instead."
