So our worst fears have been realized—Junior is the fourth hand. There wasn’t much surprise in this since he knew about the pink stars before they came down. Also, it seems like the dome is only taking kids. Junior may not technically be a kid, but he was the only logical choice left.
Angie figured out Junior was the “fourth hand” after she, Joe and Norrie decide they need to find out if anyone else has had seizure. At the hospital, they are told that the last seizure in Chester’s Mills occurred at Angie’s 10th grade dance. Who had the seizure? Junior.
Everyone isn’t exactly happy that Junior is the last piece of the puzzle for obvious reasons. Those obvious reasons were supposed to be kept a secret. However, Ang tells Joe about being Junior’s prisoner and he gets all protective and attempts—again the key word here is attempts—to fight Junior. After Junior puts poor Joe in a headlock, cooler heads prevail and they head to the cabin.
The four kids put their hands on the dome and it explodes—into pink stars. This leaves Junior to utter the five most important words of the entire episode as the credits get ready to hit the screen:
“But what does it mean?”
In other UTD news Max reveals her fight club to Barbie and makes him the main event. Figuring she had bet on him, he throws the fight to spite her. Unfortunately, Max understands Barbie’s hate for her and bets on the other guy knowing he would throw the fight. To makes matters even worse, everyone else leaves the ring upset since they bet on the former Navy Seal.
Linda and Julia head to the bank because they each have keys that open a safety deposit box. Linda’s key belonged to Duke. Upon opening the box, the she finds a confession letter from Duke. He admits to facilitating the propane operations to help protect the town along with people like Linda. The former sheriff also mentions Max, the reverend and Big Jim as part of the operation. Julia’s safety box reveals a life insurance policy for her husband. It’s then she realizes what really happened at the cabin. She confronts Barbie who admits to killing her husband. Fortunately for Barbie, Julia says he must be totally honest “in the future.”
Big Jim travels up to a suspicious house he believes is connected to Max. There he meets Max’s mother Agatha who eventually pulls a gun on him. (She promptly points out that Max didn’t take after her father.) Sadly for her, that’s as far as her mean streak goes. Jim realizes she really isn’t going to kill him. He then takes the gun from her, ties her hands together and heads back to town with her tied up on his boat. Somehow she falls off the boat into the water. Despite her pleas for help, Big Jim continues on his way into town, leaving her to drown.
Prior to the unlocking of the mini-dome, Dodee finds the kids’ hideout. She decides to touch the dome but is given a pretty good shock. Right before the kids hand her over to the hospital staff she wakes up from being unconscious but doesn’t remember exactly what happened. Hopefully for the “four hands,” it stays that way.
