Sean Kingston has settled a civil lawsuit filed against him by a 22-year-old girl who accuses the singer and his former bodyguards of gang rape, TMZ reports.
Carissa Capeloto , 22, was 19-years-old when she was allegedly forced to have sex with Kingston and his crew at a hotel in July 2010. According to TMZ, the alleged rape occurred after she had "smoked pot and downed 7-10 shots of vodka:"
Capeloto -- who has sued all 3 men -- alleges she'd been invited to Kingston's hotel room for a meet-and-greet following a Bieber concert -- where Kingston had also performed -- but when she showed up. Kingston was waiting naked on his bed.
Capeloto claims the bodyguard picked her up and placed her on top of Kingston, and all three of the men proceeded to gang rape her while she was "obviously intoxicated, incapable of consent."
According to TMZ, Kingston did not settle because he's guilty of the allegation against him. Kingston has an upcoming tour and new album release his wants to focus on, not a civil trial.
"Our sources close to Kingston's team say he paid the alleged victim only a fraction of what she asked for in order to make the lawsuit disappear as soon as possible. They didn't tell us the exact amount of the settlement," TMZ Reports.
Capeloto was asking for $5 million in the civil lawsuit, and the trial date was set for November.
Kingston reportedly had no concerns about losing the case because no criminal charges were filed against him. Kingston filed legal documents stating the sex with Capeloto was consensual.
"Her story wasn't consistent. She told various stories throughout her interviews with police. Her friend's story wasn't consistent with hers. The medical report had no indications of force," a source told TMZ.
