Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton announced their divorce just last week and so far, the two seem to be handling things pretty well, trying to put on brave faces. They've tweeted at each other, spent time with their friends, and have even performed since. At Lambert's most recent performance, though, she revealed exactly what's been keeping her sane.
"I've been living off caffeine and sad songs lately," she told the crowd on Tuesday night in Nashville, according to Access Hollywood. "So we're gonna drink some caffeine and some sad songs." She then did an acoustic version of her 2011 extremely sad song, "Dear Diamond."
Lambert was performing at the iconic 3rd & Lindsley Bar and Grill along with fellow singers, including Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town. The two did a few duets together, including "Girl Crush" and "Smokin' and Drinkin'."
"She came out smiling but was very subdued," an eyewitness told E! News. "She was really nervous and even said so. She was very shy at first. A little later, she loosened up and started having a good time. You could tell she's got things on her mind but she was starting to have fun. There were no tears or major emotion. She was very much in control and composed."
Lambert posted a photo with Fairchild, Natalie Hemby, RaeLynn, Jessi Alexander, Courtney Cole and Clare Dunn. "Had a great time last night pickin' & grinnin' with these gal pals!" she wrote. "Thanks to everyone who came to 3rd & Lindsley to hang with us. Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars: Unplugged. #musicmedicine #friends #galpals."
"If there was a theme of the night, it was empowering women and songwriters and women artists," the source continued to say about the show. "She is going on tour with many of those women in the fall."
As for Shelton, he also spent some time with RaeLynn this week. As a host on "The Voice," RaeLynn was on his team during season two of the NBC show, according to Entertainment Tonight. The two became very close as he coached her during the show. "So happy right now," Shelton tweeted, along with a picture of he and RaeLynn. "Got to see my @RaeLynnOfficial 2 days in a row now!!!!!! I love her so much it's stupid..."
Lambert also posted a photo with RaeLynn earlier today, confirming that she is a mutual friend of the two. "Thank you Jesus for girlfriends and coffee," she captioned the photo of them relaxing with mugs. "Oh and conceleaer! #wewokeuplikethis."
The only public interaction Lambert and Shelton, who were married for four years, have made since the divorce is a Twitter exchange promoting and discussing their other mutual friend, Ashley Monroe's, new album.
"I love being in the crossfire of that press when they're talking about my album," Monroe said. "I was like, 'Thanks, guys! This is true friendship.'"
As for how the country stars are doing since their split, all Monroe could say is, "All's well in our world."
