Nicki Minaj confronted Miley Cyrus while accepting the Best Hip-Hop Video for "Anaconda" at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday, Billboard reported.
After sincerely thanking her fans as well as her pastor, Minaj turned to Cyrus saying, "Now, back to this b---h that had a lot to say about me in the press the other day. Miley what's good?"
Minaj was referring to Cyrus' recent The New York Times interview, where she was asked about the Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj's controversy over the nominations for Video of the Year. Cyrus said in the interview that Minaj was "not too kind" and "not very polite... I think there's a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don't have to start this pop star against pop star war," as HNGN previously reported.
The camera then cut back to Cyrus, who was hosting the VMA's. "Hey, we're all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate s---," she said. Cyrus then continued with her script as the camera cut back to Minaj, who could be seen looking none too happy, angrily yelling at Cyrus as she went on with the show.
"I lost this award in 2008 and I was fine with it. Whatever! Because it's no big deal. It's just an award and I persevered," she added later, before congratulating the "Starships" singer.
Speaking of the Nicki Minaj-Taylor Swift twitter feud, the two seem to have buried the hatchet earlier in the evening, opening the VMA's with a performance of "Bad Blood" and concluding their performance with a hug.
