Hulk Hogan Breaks Silence After Scandal, Says 'I'm Not A Racist' (VIDEO)

Just one month after a racism scandal broke surrounding pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, the star known as Terry Bollea broke his silence in an exclusive interview with Good Morning America. Hogan asked for his fans to forgive him and teared up when he talked about the love and support he received from his daughter, Brooke Hogan.

A leaked tape allegedly caught Hogan on a racial tirade and captured his multiple use of the "n-word," as previously reported by HNGN. The WWE cut ties with its Hall of Famer and scrubbed his name and image from its website. Fans were shocked, but Hogan's daughter Brooke stood by her dad's side and defended him with a heartfelt poem on Facebook.

"Out of everything that I've been through, this one hit me probably the hardest," Hogan told GMA. "I was at the lowest point of my life, to the point where I want to kill myself."

He explained that he was angry at a situation involving his daughter and her boyfriend at the time, and didn't know his conversation was being taped. But he admitted that it's no excuse for using a racial slur.

"No I'm not, I'm not a racist, I never should've said what I said," Hogan said and pleaded for forgiveness from him fans. "Please forgive me, I'm a nice guy. I'm Terry Bollea, I'm just a normal man."

His fans and fellow WWE stars have defended Hogan's character, but it's the love that Brooke showed him that brought tears to his eyes.

"If anybody should've disowned me, it should've been her," he said, sniffling. "You know, she should've been the one (pauses). She should've been the one to throw me out like the trash, but instead she showed me more love than anybody."
