Taylor Swift's trusty security squad came to her rescue during her concert at San Diego's Petco Park stadium, TMZ reported. Her guards jumped into action to fight off a rogue fan that rushed the stage, attempting to get a little too close to the pop star.
Swift had just started to sing the first few lines of her hit song "Style" when the incident occurred, according to fan-shot footage obtained by TMZ. She stomped confidently down the stage's catwalk while her security guards were involved in a scuffle with a fan who climbed on the stage and attempted to rush after Swift.
Ignoring the commotion on the side of her stage, The pop star didn't skip a beat as she continued to perform. The fan fought back against the security guards but they eventually got the situation under control.
The brawl resulted in a broken rib for one of the security guards and the fan in question, 26-year-old Christian Ewing, was arrested on felony and misdemeanor battery, and obstruction charges. His bail was set at $35,000, according to police sources.
This is not the first time one of Swift's fans attempted to get close to her onstage. A fan reached out and grabbed at her leg while she was performing onstage in Canada earlier this month, Spin reported. She narrowly escaped the fan's reach.
