The new trailer for "A Walk in the Woods" is out, featuring Academy Award winner Robert Redford as travel writer Bill Bryon, who sets off on a trek along the 2200-mile Appalachian Trail and is accompanied by his long lost and former friend Stephen Katz, played by Nick Nolte, according to the movie's website.
Redford, who appears in his first starring role since 2013's "All is Lost," first revealed that he would star in the adaptation of Bryson's 1998 memoir of the same name more than 10 years ago, and at the time, his choice for Katz's character was Paul Newman, hoping that the "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "The Sting" costars would reunite for "one last adventure."
Unfortunately, Newman died in 2008 and the film was put on hold for many years until Redford took up the project it and asked Nolte to star alongside him, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The film is directed by Ken Kwapis, whose other credits include "He's Just Not That Into You" and "The Office" and also stars Emma Thompson, Mary Steenburgen, Nick Offerman and Kristen Schaal. The comedy adventure is slated to hit theatres on Sept. 2, Deadline reported.
