Neil Patrick Harris celebrated his one-year wedding anniversary with husband David Burtka by sharing a sweet Instagram message, People reported. The "How I Met Your Mother" star gushed about Burtka in his post.
Harris posted a photo of the couple on what seems to be their wedding night, with Harris dressed up in a white button-down shirt, black vest and black bowtie while holding a microphone. Burtka is dressed in a white button-down shirt with black suspenders and held onto Harris' arm while laughing in the shot.
"One year ago today I had the pleasure of marrying David Burtka. I'm so happy that I did - he's a truly wonderful man," Harris gushed in the caption on his Instagram. "Here's to many more laughs and adventures..!"
The couple was together for 10 years when they tied the knot in 2010, Entertainment Tonight reported. Together they share 4-and-a-half-year-old fraternal twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, who were born via surrogate.
Harris and Burtka's nuptials were shared during a private ceremony in Italy. Harris shared the details of the ceremony during an appearance on "The View."
"It was nice. It was very small, intimate. Only 45 people were there," Harris said, according to E! News. "We did a destination wedding so it kind of kept the numbers down. I just wanted to be able to say nice things about David, to David, in front of the people who matter most to us...a declaration to share in front of our kids."
