Taiwanese women are reportedly on the hunt for the trendiest outfit in the unlikeliest place: the convenience store. Young women are eager to collect plastic bags from places like 7-Eleven so that they can fashion these into plastic bag onesies, according to Daily Mail.
Using the plastic bag handles as shoulder straps, the girls cut two holes on the bags to shove their legs through and wear the bag as you would a leotard or a one-piece swimsuit.
The trend has been caught by fashion magazine Cosmopolitan, which said that it's blowing up on social media in Asia.
The origin of this crazy fashion statement stemmed from two Taiwanese models named Teddy Captain and Belle Xie, who tried the bags on to see if their torso would fit it, according to Refinery. When the girls posted their photos online, others soon followed.

Eventually, even photos of men, pets and babies wearing the plastic bag onesies from other countries made its way on the internet.

Last month, social media in Asia also saw the hangover makeup trend emerge, where women applied makeup to look like they've just woken up after getting wasted at a party, as HNGN reported.
