On the upcoming season six premiere of TLC's series "Sister Wives," Meri finds out that her divorce from her husband Kody Brown is finalized. Last season ended off with Meri and Kody making the decision to divorce in order for Kody to marry his fourth wife, Robyn, so that he can legally adopt her children from a previous marriage. Meri breaks the news of the finalized divorce to Robyn in the new sneak peak obtained by TheWrap.
"If I'm ever having maybe an emotional moment about maybe what I lost," Meri says in the clip, "you know, I just think it's not about me. It's about the kids and that's what makes me happy."
Meri calls Robyn into her office to tell her the news, and Robyn asks Meri if she's okay with the arrangement. Meri insists that she's fine with the new family arrangement, but she reveals that she hasn't told Kody yet.
"It's really awkward," Robyn says in her on camera interview. "All of a sudden I'm realizing that Meri hasn't showed or told Kody the divorce is final, but she's telling me and I'm going 'oh wait wait this isn't proper.'"
Even though she's nervous that Meri hasn't told Kody about the divorce yet, Robyn still asks if she would be open to being there for her when she obtains a legal marriage with Kody. Meri says yes.
"I'm realizing now that while that divorce process was really hard, leading up to it and going through it, I feel like I've dealt with it enough that I can see a bigger picture," Meri said in her on camera interview, "and have that desire to be more involved and be a team player."
Kody, the family's patriarch, is married to four women: Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. The family practices polygamy as part of their Fundamentalist Mormon faith. Between them, they have 17 children together.
