When Police asked a 25-year-old Indiana woman if she had been drinking during a recent traffic stop, she replied no, but her 7-year-old son in the back seat called her out on it, saying "Yes you have, Mommy," according to the Daily Mail.
Audrey B. McColm's vehicle almost collided with an oncoming car driven by an off-duty police officer, who had already observed her erratic driving.
A breathalyzer test showed McColm's blood-alcohol content at 0.237 percent, almost three times the legal limit, Jist News reported. McColm was arrested Monday night and charged with a preliminary count of neglect of a dependent.
The Randolph County Sheriff's Department report claims that McColm was left stumped by her son's admittance, according to USA Today.
At jail, McColm had refused to put on a jail jump suit when her clothes were removed. She also allegedly requested police to "shoot her in the head." McColm later posted a bond and was released from the Randolph County Jail.
