Amy Schumer, who won an Emmy for "Inside Amy Schumer" on Sunday, has signed a deal to pen her first book for $8 to 10 million, according to a source, Entertainment Weekly reported.
The book has been described as "an essay collection" that explores Schumer's "childhood, how she got her big break in comedy, her family, and feminism," according to Publishers Weekly.
The proposal, circulated by the "Trainwreck" actress' agent David Kuhn, made its way across several New York City publishing houses with editors required to bid just to get into a boardroom with Schumer.
The actress and comedian joins the list of successful female comics who published highly anticipated memoirs, including Tina Fey who authored "Bossypants" and Amy Poehler, who wrote "Yes Please," among others.
Schumer, 34, recently revealed that she is co-writing a movie with Jennifer Lawrence and the pair will play sisters in the comedy, as HNGN previously reported.
Her first HBO special, "Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo," is slated to premiere on Oct. 17.
