George Zimmerman is back in the headlines again, and this time it has to do with what made him so recognizable in the first place: the death of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman took to Twitter on Sept. 25 to retweet one of his followers who referred to him as a "one man army." As proof of his claim, the post is accompanied by the corpse of Trayvon Martin with investigators at the scene, according to Opposing Views.
The picture, originally posted by Twitter user @SeriousSlav, was deleted after several users reported it, but not before many saw the pictures and commented on Zimmerman's apparent lack of remorse.
One user called Zimmerman a "miserable excuse for a human being." While another user said, "You're a disgusting human being. I know I shouldn't ever say that, but look at you. All proud for killing a kid."
Rapper Talib Kweli even chimed in to the discussion, asking America to let the fact that Zimmerman is retweeting this picture to sink in, according to the New York Daily News.
This retweet is just the latest in Zimmerman's string of online antics. As of Monday morning, his most recent tweet is a picture of Obama in a hood, accompanied by the caption: "If I had a race baiting President, he would look like this."
Last month, Zimmerman got into a spat on Twitter with a user who messaged him, "It's slap-an-idiot Wednesday." To which Zimmerman responded: "We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me. Give it a whirl cupcake."
Since his acquittal in 2012, Zimmerman has had a series of run-ins with the law. Most recently he was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief after his then-girlfriend said he pointed a shotgun at her face during an argument.
