R&B singer August Alsina is under fire after groping a female fan during his performance at the Freebandz Summer Fest in Baton Rouge, La., Gossip Cop reported. The New Orleans crooner invited the lucky lady onstage to serenade her, but things went too far as he got handsy with the fan onstage.
The unnamed woman sat on a stool on the stage at the Baton Rouge River Center on Friday night, according to fan-shot footage obtained by music site Complex. The fan wore a fitted gold skirt and a paired it with a low-cut top that showed ample cleavage, and Alsina seemingly took advantage of her attire
She made an uncomfortable face as he caressed her neck with his left hand and crooned into a microphone in his right hand. His left hand then worked its way down to the young woman's left breast, cupping it before moving onto her right. The fan laughed then moved her own left hand to cover her breasts as Alsina settled for an awkward hug, resting his left arm around the young lady's neck.
The concert was hosted by hip-hop star Future, as part of a tour showcasing his record label Freebandz's roster. The concert included performances by New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap and the Atlanta-based Future himself, according to local paper the Times-Picayune.
But it's Alsina's performance that's causing a stir on social media as fans either expressed outrage or defended the singer for his actions. Many are slamming the artist for violating the fan's personal space and calling him out on sexual harassment as the young lady seemed visibly uncomfortable in the footage of the incident.
