David Cassidy has found trouble on the roadways again. He allegedly sideswiped a vehicle traveling at high speeds and swerving between lanes on a Florida highway, according to Daily Mail.
Police have charged "The Partridge Family" star with improper lane change, driving on a suspended license, expired registration and leaving the scene of an accident. He faces up to 60 days in jail, six months probation and a $500 fine, and he's do in court on Oct. 27.
Cassidy allegedly hit the unidentified vehicle around noon on Sept. 9 driving his Kia Sportage. A report obtained by TMZ said the vehicle was a tractor-trailer.
A witness claimed the singer stopped briefly but only to hide his license plate. Police eventually caught up to him at a local hospital where he claimed he left the crash site to go to an already scheduled hospital appointment, according to Daily Mail.
Police never tested Cassidy for drugs or alcohol in his system. AAA later towed his car, which had a flat tire and damage on the right side. The other vehicle reportedly sustained an estimated $12,000 in damages.
Cassidy filed for bankruptcy earlier this year due to steep credit card debt. He's also been arrested for a DUI three times since 2010.
