"Star Wars Battlefront," a sci-fi shooter game, is extending its beta version for another day. The game, by Dice game studio, was originally set to end its beta on Oct. 12, but the developers will give it an extra day so that more tests can be performed.
"Hope you're enjoying the 'Star Wars Battlefront' beta and thank you for playing - every time you log on, it's helping us ensure the experience is going to be great at launch. As we get into the late stages of the beta, we will begin conducting further technical tests on our infrastructure," said Mathew Everett, "Star Wars Battlefront" Community Manager, in a statement on "Battlefront's" page.
Dice further explains that the test it plans to conduct had not been activated during the first few days of the beta period, and will run from Oct. 12 until the extra day, Oct. 13.
"These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on Nov. 17," Everett said, according to Softpedia News.
The "Battlefront" free beta started on Oct. 8 and is being held across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, Gamespot reports.
