Kate Upton has traded in her bikini for a form-fitting Atlanta Braves uniform for the latest issue of Sports Illustrated. The 21-year-old model is no stranger to the magazine - she appeared on the cover twice for their swimsuit edition - but is the first model to appear on the weekly Sports Illustrated cover, the Daily Mail reports.
Appearing on the cover with the blonde beauty is Atlanta Braves brothers Justin Upton and B.J. Upton with the title "Can the Uptons Power Atlanta?" The model joked that they are long lost cousins as she playfully sits on their shoulders.
The latest cover is very different for the model who previously appeared in a tiny red bikini and white bikini bottoms and an open parka coat.
Recently, Upton's romantic life has been generating a lot of buzz when she and "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy confirmed they are a couple. They were spotted holding hands while walking down the street in New York City.
According to E! News, Upton and Chmerkovskiy have been dating since June. The couple was spotted several times over the summer but they both denied they were in a relationship. At the 10th Annual Style Awards, where Upton was named Model of the Year, she said they were just friends.
Chmerkovskiy also denied being off the market telling reporters back in July that Upton was a friend and they "go way back."
Since making their relationship public, the New York Daily News reports that Upton is now apartment hunting in New York City to be closer to her new beau. She was spotted looking at places in the Flatiron District.
Sources told the newspaper that the Sports Illustrated model wants to spend more time with Chmerkovskiy who lives in Fort Lee, N.J. Upton currently resides in Florida near her family.
