"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" star Anthony Mackie voiced his support for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. While promoting his latest film "Our Brand Is Crisis," Mackie told a BET reporter that if he could run a presidential campaign for either Trump or Hillary Clinton, he would "100 percent run Trump's campaign."
"Trump's an easy sell," said the actor. "When you look at Trump, he's an easy sell because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing. And I think if you're a 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' candidate, people would identify with that."
When asked if his answer counted as an endorsement for Trump, Mackie admitted he was "on the bandwagon" and was "drinking the Kool-Aid."
While Mackie was quick to endorse Trump, the actor admitted he would not make a good politician.
"I don't think I would be able to hack it in politics," he said. "If you question me, or you say something about my family, I'm coming at you, so I would definitely lose every presidential race."
Despite Mackie's enthusiasm for Trump 2016, many slammed the actor on Twitter and were quick to denounce him as their favorite Avenger.
