Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys introduced his new pet to the world Wednesday by sharing a photo of a Capuchin monkey, which he named Dallas Bryant, on Instagram.
The Cowboys wide receiver is not the first to have a monkey as a pet. Oronde Gadsgen had his own pet monkey named Malik that would roam around in the Cowboys' valley ranch once in a while.
Malik went to the team's training camp back in 1996 but was sent home from the St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas because pets were not allowed, according to ESPN.
Bryant is currently out on the sidelines recovering from a broken foot in week one of the team's game against the New York Giants on Sunday.
He was able to recuperate quickly but has yet to practice in the field and therefore won't be able to play anytime soon, according to Fox Sports.
