Washington Teen Brothers Ran Underage Prostitution Ring From Mother's House, Cops Say

Two teenage brothers in Washington ran an underage prostitution ring from their mother's home, allegedly under with her knowledge, according to the Smoking Gun. The Spokane teens, 17-year-old Thaishaun Hunter and 15-year-old Dionte Hunter, ran the ring while the older brother was in juvenile lockup.

Spokane officials caught on to the criminal underage sex network when they listened in on phone calls from the older sibling, who was in lockup over a grocery store shooting, reported the New York Daily News. The older boy was coaching his 15-year old brother on how to run the family business.

The boys gave the proceeds of their prostitution ring to their mother, officials said.

Police said the younger brother was using the sex site Backpage.com, forcing the girls to advertise themselves, before going out on calls. Court documents show the brothers talked in code, saying things like "Make them think they're going to be reimbursed, even if they're not," and "Treat them right, that way they stay around, and make sure they do the calls."

The pair are both being charged as adults for a series of sex-related charges for their role in running the business and recruiting girls as young as 14 to work for the teen pimps.

Both brothers are charged as adults Thursday and each faces a slew of sex-related charges, according to KHQ, including exploiting a minor for sexual purposes, promoting sex with minors, first degree robbery, first degree assault with a firearm, leading organized crime, promoting prostitution and conspiracy to promote commercial sex abuse of a minor.

Both brothers are each being held on $175,000 bonds.
