Final 'Jeopardy' Answer By Contestant 'Insults Liberals,' Goes Viral (TWEETS, VIDEO)

"Jeopardy!" contestant Becky Sullivan grabbed America's attention after she inadvertently insulted liberals while answering a question wrong on the game show Friday. While many would have chosen to take the easy way out and leave the board blank if they didn't know the answer to a Final Jeopardy question, Sullivan decided to have some fun with it.

The Final Jeopardy question asked the remaining two contestants to identify a flower by its picture, the name of the flower also being a "disparaging term for people on the political left." Sullivan revealed that she wrote "pansy" on her board, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"I think you may have found a way to insult liberals in this country," host Alex Trebek said and the incorrect answer cost Sullivan $6,000. Fellow contestant Sean Anderson was the winner of the night after he rightly answered the question with "bleeding heart."

Since then, Sullivan, who is an NPR producer, took to Twitter to explain that she had no intention to insult anyone, stating that "she just put the only flower I knew that was also an insult," according to The Wrap.
