Kim Zolciak Undergoes Heart Surgery, Is 'Glad It's Over' (PHOTO)

It's been a rough month for Kim Zolciak, but her health is finally looking much better. The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star suffered a mini stroke following her "Dancing With The Stars" performance in September, and since then she has undergone a few procedures, the latest of which was a serious heart surgery.

Following the mini stroke, which was caused by a blood clot, Zolciak was given two treatment options - she could either be on blood thinners for the rest of her life or have heart surgery, so she decided on the latter. "I have one of the top cardiologists in the country who's amazing. I think anything that has to do with your heart and brain is pretty scary, but I mean, heck, I've been through it, I'm OK," she told E! News earlier this month when she decided to go under the knife. "You really don't realize how precious life is and how something can just - it literally happened in a second and my whole life changed."

Zolciak, 37, posted another hospital selfie on Tuesday morning, informing her followers that everything went smoothly. "My [heart] surgery was a success!!" she wrote. "I can't wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it's over. Quite the whirlwind this last month has been...but such a blessing too #MyFamilyHasBeenAmazing #TheFalconsHaveBeenSoSupportive #GodIsIncredible #Blessed #Grateful #ThankYouToMyDoctorsAndNurses #AmazingTeam."

Prior to the surgery, her daughter, Brielle Zolciak-Biermann, opened up about her mom's condition. "She's good. She's getting surgery soon. We're praying really hard for her," she told E! News. "She needs this to get better. Everyone's thinking positively and being hopeful. Right now, she's feeling OK. She's been redecorating the entire house!"
