Steve Harvey Sued By Private Jet Company For Failing To Pay More Than $200,000 In Customizations

Steve Harvey is being sued by a Nashville jet company, Business Aircraft Leasing Inc., for about $200,000 for the custom alterations he made to a private jet in April, reported WTSP. According to court papers, Harvey agreed to pay $400,000 for the Gulfstream jet he had completely customized, and he "orally promised" to lease the jet for $97,000 a month.

Harvey is said to have only paid about half of the money upfront before saying he did not want to lease the aircraft. He now owes the remaining balance, a figure which will be determined more specifically at trial.

The 58-year-old "Family Feud" host was not pleased with the standard features that came with the private jet and insisted the company had the interior modified to his liking, according to TMZ. His alterations included custom carpet, reconfiguration of the cabin from 16 to 14 seats, custom seat design and new upper and lower cabin sidewalls. With his quick change of heart, the company is now out the money for all of his changes and wants him to pay a minimum of $205,000.

The jet company not only sued Harvey, but also One World Aviation, a company he owns and operates, according to the Daily Mail. The Harvey-inspired jet is now up for lease on Business Aircraft Leasing's website.
