Celebrity tattoos, much like celebrity fashion, vary from personality to personality, and some of the most unexpected stars are sporting ink somewhere on their bodies, proving that tattoos aren't just for rock stars anymore. From pop star Katy Perry to actress Kaley Cuoco, here are some female celebrities who rock tattoos.
Actress Lea Michele ("Scream Queens") has a total of 14 tattoos, according to Bustle, including the word "Imagine" tattooed on the side of her left foot. "Big Bang Theory" star Cuoco has three, including one small design tattooed on her rib cage. Jenna Dewan-Tatum has two, one of which is a pair of angel wings tattooed on her upper back.
Pop star and "American Horror Story: Hotel" star Lady Gaga got a tattoo that reads "Mother Monster" after her devoted fanbase, and Demi Lovato covered up a tattoo of lips on her wrist with a gorgeous rose, according to E! News. Miley Cyrus paid tribute to her deceased dog with a tattoo on her rib cage, while Perry commemorated her first-ever Super Bowl halftime performance with the roman numerals of the event.
Singer Selena Gomez has a small tattoo side that reads "Love yourself first" in Arabic, accoridng to People. Actress Megan Fox has the Shakespeare quote "We will laugh at gilded butterflies" on her right shoulder blade. Singing powerhouse Adele posed for a photo with celebrity tattoo artist "Bang Bang" after he tattooed the word "Paradise" on the side of her left palm, and Drew Barrymore wears the word "Breathe" on her inner left wrist.
Fashion expert Kelly Osbourne also went with a lettering tattoo, opting to tattoo the title of her clothing line "Stories..." in a typewriter font on the left side of her scalp. Fashion designer Victoria Beckham doesn't have as many tattoos as her husband David, but she's got dainty lettering going down the middle of her back. Reality star Kylie Jenner has yet to post a full shot of her new tattoo after teasing a clip of her tattoo process on Snapchat, but it appears to be lettering on her left hip.
Model Jourdan Dunn went with a Middle Eastern sign of protection known as the Hamsa, while fashion designer Nicole Richie tattooed a rosary around her ankle. Actress Scarlett Johansson has a charm bracelet tattooed around her wrist.
Actress Angelina Jolie is heavily tattooed, but one of her stand out pieces is a large tiger on her lower back. "Paper Towns" star Cara Delevingne went with a detailed tattoo of a lion on her index finger. Actress Vanessa Hudgens sports a butterfly on the side of her neck, while "90201" star Rumer Willis has a tattoo on each arm, and model and actress Jenny McCarthy has a beautiful rose tattoo on her right foot.
