On the upcoming season finale tell-all special for TLC's reality series "Sister Wives," Meri Brown comes clean to her husband Kody and her three sister wives about her experience with an Internet catfish. In a new sneak peek, Meri reveals candid details about her online relationship with a woman who posed as a man to host Tamron Hall.
In the clip, Hall asks Meri to set the record straight about whether her online relationship with the unnamed catfish was a physical one, and the polygamous family's patriarch Kody looks at Meri as she answers.
"No," she says as she wipes tears from her eyes. "I've never met this person, I've never seen him I've never seen him. The pictures that he sent to me were of an actor and said that they were him."
Meri came forward about her online relationship earlier this year, and she said that she fell victim to her catfish during a vulnerable time after she divorced Kody so that he could legally marry Robyn, his fourth wife, and adopt her three children from a previous marriage, as previously reported by HNGN.
Speaking to Hall, Meri details one particular incident where her catfish was emotionally manipulative and explained that she never meet the male she thought she was talking to online, but she did meet his female friend.
Hall then asks Meri how she found the courage to tell the truth about her situation to her husband and sister wives.
"It took a lot," Meri whispers, tearing up.
Robyn interrupts and says that she was the one who made Meri open up, and Hall asks Robyn how she knew about Meri's secret.
"I've been begging her for months to talk to me," Robyn says, crying. "I knew something wasn't right. I was begging her and begging her to talk to me."
Watch the sneak peek below, and be sure to catch the "Sister Wives" tell-all special, airing Sunday Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
