An unnamed hero stepped up during a horrific disaster and helped an unlikely victim, carrying her to safety. During the Nov. 5 mudslide in Brazil due to a mine collapse, killing 10 people and flattening a village, says ABC, the rescue workers and firefighters came out to search for survivors.
That's when a firefighter came across a poor dog, managing to barely hang on in belly-deep muddy sludge and debris, running through the village, said the Dodo. The exhausted dog was so grateful when the firefighter, standing up to his knees in mud, was able to pull the dog out of the mud she was trapped in and hoist her to safety.
When he realized she was too exhausted and weak to stand from just trying to survive the mudslide, he put the sweet dog over his shoulder and carried her up the road to higher ground and safety. Once on safe ground, the worn out dog enjoyed some pets from her guardian angel, and he had to know he just saved her life. She wouldn't have made it much longer there.
