Fans will be pleased to see a smiling Hayden Panettiere looking happy and healthy almost two months after she checked herself into a rehabilitation facility to treat her postpartum depression.
The 26-year-old mother-of-one was out supporting her fiancé, heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko, while he fought to defend his world title against challenger Tyson Fury at the IBF IBO WBA WBO Heavyweight World Championship Fight in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, Us Weekly reported.
Unfortunately, Klitschko lost the match, ending his nine-year reign.
The boxing match marked Panettiere's first public appearance since entering rehab. The actress, who wore a creamed striped long-sleeved sweater, plaid mini-skirt, black stockings, and a hat, sat ringside cheering for Klitschko. Several photos showed Panettiere wrapping the Ukrainian flag around her shoulders.
After getting engaged in 2013, Panettiere and Klitschko welcomed their first child together - a daughter named Kaya - in December 2014. Since then, the actress revealed that she has been suffering from postpartum depression, which is a common issue for new mothers. In Oct 2015, Panettiere decided to seek professional help for her condition.
"[She] is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression," her rep told People. "She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time."
Panettiere also spoke candidly about the condition during a recent appearance on ABC's "Live! With Kelly and Michael," saying, "There's a lot of misunderstanding. There's a lot of people out there that think that it's not real, that it's not true, that it's something that's made up in their minds, that 'Oh, it's hormones.'"
"They brush it off. It's something that's completely uncontrollable. It's really painful and it's really scary and women need a lot of support."
