While in Australia next year as part of the royal tour, Kate Middleton will likely be enlisting the services of Princess Diana's hairdresser, Joh Bailey, for her 2014 hair care needs, the Mirror reports.
"[Diana] was the most elegant and gracious lady you could have imagined," Sydney-based hairdresser Bailey recently told an Australian newspaper. "She had a ball in Sydney and loved everything about the city... she was a lot of fun. She would sit in the chair flicking through newspaper and magazine clippings, and read absolutely everything the tabloids wrote about her. She had a huge pile of them, throwing them onto the floor either in disgust or laughing...she was very aware of her image."
Bailey will surely be doing Middleton's signature sleek blow-dry style while the Duchess and family are in town
The upcoming tour, similar to the one Princess Diana took with Prince Charles and a nine-month-old Prince George back in 1983, is planned for Australia and New Zealand in the spring of next year.
Princess Diana's own trip broke new ground, as beforehand, babies traditionally stayed at home while their royal parents jetted around the globe. Like her late mother-in-law, the Duchess plans on taking her son along with her, known for eschewing royal protocol and doing things her way, while the aid of her husband, Prince William, of course, as he will be joining her on the big family trip.
Not only did she head to the Middleton manor in Bucklebury, Berkshire after giving birth instead of going directly to Kensington Palace with Prince George as was expected, Kate Middleton opted for a personal pictures at home in the garden with her new family, taken by her father, instead of the traditional professional photoshoot for her family's official first portraits.
Also according to royal protocol, two heirs to the throne are typically not allowed to fly together, though the Queen will likely make an exception for the Duke and Duchess as she did for Princess Diana and Prince Charles when William was a baby.
