VH1 Cancels 'Mob Wives' After Six Seasons, But Producer Says 'This Isn't Necessarily The End' (VIDEO)

Season 6 will be the final season of the reality TV series "Mob Wives," announced VH1. Renee Graziano, Karen Gravano, Angela "Big Ang" Raiola, Drita D'Avanzo and Carla Facciolo will all return for the last season, titled "Mob Wives: The Last Stand," but show producer (and Renee's sister) Jennifer Graziano said this may not be the end after all.

"Mob Wives: The Last Stand" marks a return to Staten Island, N.Y., where the show began. The Philly girls from Season 5 have exited the cast, but newcomers Brittany Fogarty (daughter of gangster John Fogarty) and Marissa Fiore (girlfriend of tough guy Jamie "OZ" Lansburg) are also thrown into the mix.

"'Mob Wives' burst onto the pop culture scene as a provocative series that pioneered truly uncharted territory on television," said Senior Vice President, East Coast Production & Development for VH1 Nina L. Diaz in a statement. "We're proud to have partnered with Jennifer Graziano, The Weinstein Company, Electus and Left/Right Productions on this groundbreaking franchise and thank everyone involved who helped deliver six riveting seasons to VH1 viewers."

The show chronicled the lives of the women involved with some of the most notorious New York City mafia families, and they each struggled with loyalty, betrayal and hardships. They also served as the head of their households while their men were away in jail, caring for children, starting businesses and maintaining friendships within the close-knit Staten Island community.

Even though VH1 chose not to move forward with the series, show producer Jennifer said there may be a chance for "Mob Wives" to be picked up by another network, especially with the addition of story lines from the new cast members.

"This isn't necessarily the end of 'Mob Wives,'" Jennifer told the Staten Island Advance. "This is our best season ever and it's definitely not the last you will see of the girls."
