Rockstar Games has announced the first batch of ass-on content for its latest multiplayer game "Grant Theft Auto: Online" will debut in early November.
After announcing that it will be delaying its highly anticipated rebate for all players who experienced startup glitches and bugs during the game's first month of launch, the developer has announced that, starting in November the free-to-download Beach Bum pack update will be available for all users.
The add-on includes new weapons and beach-themed vehicles that players will be able to use both in the GTA V Story Mode and GTA Online. According to IGN, the update will also include new tattoos, hairstyles, Jobs, Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standing Matches, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races that all take place on the beaches and coastal areas of Los Santos and Blaine County.
The developer has also announced Social Club Events Weekends, where special rewards and bonuses will be available for GTA Online. These will range from limited-edition in-game Event crate Drops to in-game discounted specials. Rockstar will also host live-stream events that will offer prize pack give aways.
Perhaps one of the most exciting new features, for those who like to tinker and perfect the best game experience, is the game's much-awaited Content Creator. This will allow users to make custom-made Races and Deathmatches. For those who end up creating some of the best races and most exciting Deathmatches, Rockstar will be keeping an eye on those maps and, if they're good enough and popular enough, will feature them on the Rockstar Newswire. In addition, there will be a "Rockstar Verified" stamp to the developer approved maps and races in-game. The hope is that this will let users know which fan-made maps have been perfected to the quality of the game developer's standards.
All of these new features launch in early November for free for any existing GTA Online user. There is still no definite ETA on the $500,000 compensation for GTA Online players who played during the month of Oct.
