Quentin Tarantino: Filmmaker Loses His Cool After Fan Asks Him For A Selfie

Quentin Tarantino shut down a fan who asked him for a selfie at the premiere of his upcoming film, "The Hateful Eight," on Monday at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City, according to New York Daily News.

The filmmaker was walking hand-in-hand with a beautiful brunette and was making his way toward the concession stand in the lobby for a beverage when an enthusiastic fan leaned in and asked Tarantino if she could "get a selfie" with the Oscar-winning director, which set him off.

Tarantino lost his cool and flipped out on the woman. "No! No! I don't like that honey. No, I won't be in your selfie," he said before adding, "This is my movie and my theater. Not tonight, not now. No. That's like asking someone in church. It's not right. No."

The 52-year-old also used the occasion - and media availability - to address his comments on police brutality, which sparked outrage among police unions, including an NYPD union, who called for a boycott of the director's films, as HNGN previously reported.

Tarantino said he was glad his anti-police brutality remarks shed some light on police officer's treatment of suspects. "I didn't do anything except shed some light on something that a lot of people started talking about. I'm very proud of that. Maybe we can do even more and, basically, stop all this killing," he said.
