Coming off the news of the reveal of the new Extinction Game mode Activision has released a new infographic to celebrate the upcoming release of "Call of Duty: Ghosts," and it has some very interesting statistics.
The stats are comprised from every "Call of Duty" game since "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare." There's a lot of impressive information in the graphic including the number of shots fired by all players - The number looks like this: 32,300,000,000,000,000 (32.3 quadrillion).
Other statistics in the game include the number of Care Packages dropped (31 billion), is enough to build 15,000 Great Pyramids of Giza and 100 Great Walls of China.
The amount of cars that have been blown up in the game (5 billion) is more than 5 times the amount of registered vehicles in the world. Finally, the most impressive statistic from the infographic has to be the amount of hours clocked in playing the games. At 25 billion hours played, it spans longer in hours played than the entirety of human existence has spanned in years.
The vast user base was recently discussed by executive producer Mark Rubin who believes the fans, while not necessarily hardcore gamers they're still loyal.
"It's kind of a weird, ironic thing to say; They aren't hardcore gamers, or even gamers, but they play Call of Duty every night. And those guys are going to continue to play regardless of platform. So I think not only will we continue to engage with that existing player base, but we'll take next gen and see how far we can go with it."
"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is set to release for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on Nov. 5. Following the release the game will become available on next-generation consoles the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after their launch later in November.
In the meantime, check out the infograph above and tell us what you think.
