Did Santa lose his hat in this scenic winter wonderland? A hat just like the one St. Nick wears was spotted in the snowy white expanse of snow by an equally beautiful arctic wolf, who went into total play mode when he came across this treasure. Did the hat hold some holiday magic that rubbed off on him? Maybe. Or maybe it's just a wonderful moment of silliness from those in the wild that we get to experience.
What we are certain about is that he loves the hat and runs ecstatically. Wolves just want to have fun – at least this one does, says Who Left the Dogs Out.
What a treat it is for Tanja Askani to bring us this amazing video of an arctic wolf having a silly, holiday moment.
Askani has been an animal lover since childhood and especially after she started the first wolf pack in Germany's Luneburger Heath Wildlife Preserve in 1998, says White Wolf Pack. Askani continues to care for the preserve's wolf packs, as well as other animals that come her way.
"Neither are my animals trained nor have they turned into tamed pets," says Askani. "The wolf is still no cuddly toy or pet, but remains a wild animal."
Which is how she was able to bring us this sweet video of that playful, beautiful arctic wolf, enjoying some fun with Santa's hat and Askani's dog.
