Hilary Duff New Album News: Star Trying For Baby No. 2?

Is Hilary Duff trying for baby number two? In a new interview with People magazine, the star revealed her thoughts on giving her son, Luca, a sibling, and on Twitter, the former "Lizzie McGuire" actress announced the status of her forthcoming album, the Huffington Post reports.

"If I had another boy, I would be happy, but I would like to try for a girl and I'm not sure that I want to have three kids," Duff recently told People magazine, causing several news sources to run stories claiming that the 26-year-old actress is currently attempting to get pregnant again.

Duff, however, took to Twitter to clarify that her words were taken out of context.

"It's ridiculous....The only baby I'm working on is my album," she tweeted on Nov. 3.

Fans have waited patiently for six years for Hilary Duff to come out with a new album. The singer left Hollywood Records back in 2008 after the release of her "Greatest Hits" collection, and in 2009, she released her song "Any Other Day" for the "What Goes Up" film soundtrack. Her previous studio album, "Dignity," a collection of slick pop-dance tracks that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard chart, received mostly positive reviews from critics and fans alike

However, Duff's new album may have a different sound from her previous efforts. Not only is she working with producer Billy Mann (Celine Dion, P!nk, Robyn), in her latest Twitter Q&A session with Idolator, she revealed her love of EDM and promised "catchy hooks" and a focus on good lyrics. Two months ago, the star hinted on Instagram that a new song called "Better Days" may appear on her new album, posting a photo of herself recording in the studio, much to the excitement of her fans.

As for baby number two, Duff may decide to wait awhile before trying, as her new music venture is sure to keep her busy.
