Scott Disick is mourning the sudden loss of his mother, Bonnie Disick. According to E! News, Bonnie, 63, passed away in the first week of November. Kourtney Kardashian and her boyfriend left Los Angeles and spent a few days in New York City.
Bonnie and her husband, Jeff Disick, lived on Long Island, N.Y. where Scott was raised. Kardashian and Scott were pictured walking hand in hand down the busy city streets before heading back to Los Angeles. Bonnie and her husband were featured on a 2011 episode of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" when the reality star took little Mason to visit his paternal grandparents in the Hamptons. Khloe Kardashian also came along for the trip.
A source told Radar Online that Scott was "devastated" by the loss.
"Scott was very close to his mother," the source said.
Kardashian and Scott attended a small funeral for his mother in New York earlier in the week.
"It was a small affair. There was just a handful of people," the source said. "No other Kardashians beyond Kourtney attended. But the entire family is saddened with the news of Bonnie's passing. They loved her so much."
It was revealed on a recent episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that Scott has a hard time dealing with death and loss. The mother of two approached him about his fear of being around people who are dying and told him that it was something he needed to work through.
"You know I'm not good about talking about death. I don't want to be around someone who is dying," he said on the episode when he found out a woman battling cancer wanted to meet him as her last wish.
Disck did end up meeting the lady and the rest of her family.
"Seeing Josie confront her illness really made me think about my dad - who suffers from diabetes and needs a heart replacement - I really don't talk about it because it's so hard for me," he told the cameras.
